The ICFA are delighted to launch a new wing of the Association dedicated to fostering collaboration and community between postgraduate and early career researchers of crime fiction. Postgraduate participation is always strong at the Captivating Criminality conferences, and we are keen to build on this by establishing a permanent network for PGRs and ECRs within the Association.
The PGR/ECR Officer for the ICFA is Ciara Gorman, who recently submitted her doctoral thesis on female criminality in twenty-first-century French crime fiction to Queen's University Belfast. Taking inspiration from the always-popular PGR workshop with Professor Mary Evans which has long been a mainstay at Captivating Criminality, Ciara will host regular themed seminars for PGRs throughout the academic year. There will be one series per semester, and three seminars per series. Suggestions for future themes are very welcome!
If you are a current or prospective PGR/ECR member of the Association and would like to join the mailing list for the ECR Hub, you can sign up here. We look forward to welcoming you to this new network!
